Dramatica Britannica - England: 2009

"A script written from intense research and travel around England. The final performance sees various responses to this script from numerous companies who only have 24 hours to create their performances.

A crazy idea for a crazy country.
The year is 2009.
Welcome to England."

A 24 hour theatrical free-for-all, inspired by and built on England's green and pleasant land. Following a period of research and development by the company, performers received various forms of text and were invited to respond to this in whichever ways they chose with just seven hours to do so; the scenes created were then pieced together and presented to an audience the very same evening.

This production was performed as part of TURBULENCE, a festival of new work created by the 2009 MA Advanced Theatre Practice class at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
