Theatre Uncut Plymouth

Theatre Uncut was created to get people thinking, talking and taking action on the events that are happening in the world around them.

Part of an international initiative, Theatre Uncut offers people the opportunity to read and perform scripts by exciting and established writers from across the globe for free during a rights-free period. Featuring work by a selection of these writers - and staged by artists, practitioners and performers based in and around Plymouth - Theatre Uncut Plymouth presented one-off, free events with relevance both locally and internationally.

Theatre Uncut was created to get people thinking, talking and taking action on the events that are happening in the world around them.

The idea is simple. Playwrights from a selection of countries are asked to write brand new short plays in response to their current political situation. These scripts are then made available for anyone to perform anywhere for a limited period.
