City Gate Ignite

As part of the 2014 Exeter Ignite festival, a group of artists from Plymouth took over the City Gate venue to programme theatre and dance from artists based in Plymouth and beyond.

Plymouth’s independent theatre scene was represented at Ignite, aiming to help develop interest in their work from audiences across the South West.

Off the back of this experience, the City Gate Ignite team would go on to found Plymouth Fringe Festival
