Theatre Uncut was created to get people thinking, talking and taking action on the events that are happening in the world around them.

Following on from 2012's successful event, Theatre Uncut Plymouth returns for 2013 with a one-off performance this time in Theatre Royal Plymouth's new performance space, The Lab. Theatre Uncut Plymouth will once again see the city join a global theatrical movement aimed at encouraging people to think about, discuss and act upon issues which may be affecting their daily lives.

The idea is simple. Playwrights from a selection of countries are asked to write brand new short plays in response to their current political situation. These scripts are then made available for anyone to perform anywhere for a limited time period. Theatre Uncut is run by artistic directors Emma Callander and Hannah Price.
